B’bye Mysore..!

I still remember the first time I entered the Infy Campus at Mysore on Jan 10,2011.
Its royal and grand look charmed us all, it seemed as a tourist place, rather than a training campus of an organization. The hurriedly taken morning breakfast, reaching the class just before 9:00, the boring classes full of slides, has been our last two months.
These few days here in Infosys, Mysore, taught me great things. Straightly coming from College Campus to such an Organization Campus, would make people difficult to adjust, but the environment which Infosys has given us, was just the same which everyone wanted. Life here was fun, joy, stress sometimes(before Compre), the DJ nights, the creative events happening here were great and nice.

Time passes and leave memories, and so here we are after exactly 2 months 19 days, today(March 28,2011), all set to leave this huge campus, post completion of our training here in Campus.
We all may be leaving this campus, but the memories which we composed here will be cherished all over our life, the friends we made here and life we spent here is memorable, and unforgettable.
Our posted units are waiting for us, and why not, we were prepared for those units itself. No-one ever thought that time spent here will bring us so close and will give us best friends of our life. Though we are leaving many of them, but still we know that we are friends for life, and we will remain in contact for whole of our lives.

The time is less, so, I will not available to write much. But I just want to say..that the time spent here was very memorable, and overwhelming.
B’bye..Mysore..WE WILL MISS YOU!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Please help me

I dont know why.. but i am feeling really very restless..today..
“Pata nahi apni zindagi ka kya hoga..jis cheez k piche bhagna chahiye..usse door bhag rahe hai..aur jis cheez se door bhagna chahiye usk piche bhag rahe hai”

My main motive of writing this post is to just get some counseling..from all you intelligent minds out there..
Our session ends in other two months from now (if we keep Semester exams away)..And I am not sure till now..about what i should do..after my grad. and what should I prepare to achieve that.
My interest includes :
Programming, and all kind of technical stuffs that involves computers and technology. But the main problem is..i dont know what are my skills and my features. I dont know whether I should go for M.C.A or M.Sc or M.B.A or M.S(Houston programme-MSF) and what are their career prospective in future. If I know this I will surely find out what i have to do.
Please do write a comment to help me or ask anything for me..
I would feel grateful to receive counseling from you.

See..the blunder made.

Our Delhi University website: http://www.du.ac.in opens in below format.

You can even check this through google search.

And the homepage, have a look:

du-website homepage

Moreover, the results page which i sought through google search of ‘DU’, it links to following page:

du-website results

Now, that means, the domain name: du.ac.in has been given to Ernet India, thats why the ‘results’ page cannot be found.

Whatsoever, but this fault is simply a blunder for a such a huge university, and must be rectified as soon as possible.

(Note:Please let others know about this problem, and do comment on this topic.)

Games on Linux and How to install

America’s Army is a First Person Shooter (commonly called FPS) created by the United States Armed Forces. It is free to download and install.

It’s not too often you can say you are playing a game put out by the United States Government, but Americas Army is just that. This began not only as a game, but a tool to train future army recruits. The US Army probably didn’t expect the game to quickly explode into a popular online stature though.

The game follows a rather serious theme due to its original and current goals, but it’s also a blast for players who have no desire to join the army. Other similar games on the market cost money while AA is free. But there’s a catch. As of version 2.5, AA was discontinued for Linux and Mac OS X, although it doesn’t seem to affect the training missions or playing with other 2.5 clients. So, this makes it great for a Linux AA clan, or a LAN party.

The game is based on the Unreal 2.5 engine, so you can expect some great graphics and sound. If you have played Counter-Strike, then you already have a good feel of what AA is all about. It’s you, against the terrorist. There is no deathmatch mode, as that is not exactly the goal of the game ๐Ÿ˜‰

Of course, moreso than Counter-Strike, there is a lot of strategy you must execute to be successful. The game is based off what could happen in real life, so it’s not going to be easy. Splinter Cell could be a name brought up, as the stealth in that game would prove useful here. As you can guess, the game is focused around realism, and so you cannot jump in and expect a Counter-Strike or Unreal Tournament gameplay. You must shoot accurately if you want to kill… spray and pray doesn’t really work well here.

This is a great game, no two ways about it. It’s just too bad the developers decided to halt Linux and OS X support.

Get the latest version for Linux from FileFront. Download armyops<version>-linux.run.

Run the file from where you have downloaded

sudo sh ./armyops<version>-linux.run
If Americas Army is already installed, an upgrade match may be available from FileFront. Download armyops-lnx-patch-<version>.run.

Run the file from where you have downloaded

sudo sh ./armyops-lnx-patch-<version>.run
There are multiple ways to execute the program. You can click the application icon that will be in Applications ? Games ? armyops, or you can run it via the command line. Type the following into a Terminal:
